In this class, we’ll explore the technique of using a mother colour—a single colour that is subtly mixed into all others—to create harmony and cohesion in a painting. Inspired by Édouard Vuillard’s muted palettes, we’ll focus on how a dominant hue can tie together different elements of a composition.
