Monochrome Underpainting

Saturday Art Class
This week try a traditional technique used by renaissance artist Titan and others, by starting the painting with a monochrome underpainting to help identify light and dark values. This technique allows you to simplify the composition and work out the tonal relationships before introducing colour.
